Big Bite Catering is a multi-award winning catering and patisserie company based in central Scotland providing bespoke, hand-crafted dishes for weddings, private dining and corporate events.

Established in 2001, we have over 20 years experience in event catering as the company we are today.

Big Bite Catering has been recognised by Lanarkshire Business Awards in 2019 as Lanarkshire’s Best Food & Drink Provider, Best Business with under 10 employees and in 2020 as Best Family Business.

Founder and executive chef Alan Boslem, former Sous Chef of the world-renowned Gleneagles Hotel, has remained at the forefront of the company’s operations taking pride in his ability to create unique dining experiences for every individual and event. Alan is supported by a team of experienced staff who have perfected their craft over many years at some of the most desirable establishments across the world. Alan was also awarded by his peers as Winner of the Banqueting & Events Chef of the Year at the 2019 Excellence Awards.

Wedding catering is at the heart of what we do. Every detail of your special day is so important and we pride ourselves on creating a meal that your guests will remember for years to come.

We are committed to using seasonal, sustainable and local produce where we can to create quality dishes that will delight your taste buds. This day is all about you so we will work with you to customise and curate a bespoke menu for your big day.

Corporate Events

We work with a vast range of corporate clients from football clubs and educational institutions to blue chip companies throughout central Scotland providing high quality catering for all event sizes.

We are proud to say that we have fostered long term relationship with our corporate clients most of which have come to us through personal recommendation.

Private Dining

We also offer private dining catering for more exclusive or intimate events.

Within our private dining packages, we will create a range of hand-crafted dishes to suit the occasion from bbq and buffet style banquets to canapés and 6 course meals.

Meet the Big Bite Catering Family

Our team is made up of experienced chefs who have worked at some of the most respected restaurants and hotels across the world as well as raw talented youth who train with us through a three-year apprenticeship programme, all of which have returned to the team after refining their culinary skills at various desirable establishments. Director and Executive Chef, Alan Boslem, heads the team bringing his expertise as former sous-chef of Gleneagles Hotel and winner of the Banqueting & Events Chef of the Year award at the 2019 CIS Excellence Awards.
